We are a family church and, like a family, we love our older people!

We are fortunate in having some wise and lively “grandparents” within our church community and we also host events over the year, catering for the older generation. Two of them are the Spring Tea and the Autumn Tea, held, and here’s the thing, in Spring and Autumn.

If you happened to come along to one of these warm and friendly afternoons, you could chose from a massive selection of cakes to add a little interest to your cuppa, get over-excited winning at Bingo or a Beetle Drive, then calm down by joining in the sing-along to some golden oldies.

Always goes down a storm. And we provide transport too. No excuse for not coming.

To finish the year off properly, we have for some years now cooked a traditional Christmas Dinner, on Christmas Day. We have been delighted to cater for upto 80 people who would otherwise find themselves alone on Christmas Day and our festive team of volunteers always organises a cracker of a day, with all the trimmings and carols afterwards, along with a lift to and from home. For details of all these events, contact Vicki Garrity on
