Christians Against Poverty

Christians Against Poverty (CAP) is a national debt counselling charity working through a network of centres based in local churches.

Middlesbrough Community Church started a CAP centre more than a year ago and offers genuine hope and a solution to anyone in debt through it’s unique approach. Our CAP Centre Manager is Anne Young and she coordinates all the CAP work from our centre, assisted by volunteer support workers from MCC. CAP provides excellent and practical help for families and individuals who find themselves in debt and are struggling to find a way through it. CAP offers a unique ‘hands on’ approach that enables people to lift themselves out of poverty as well as providing some of the best professional advice and support you’ll find from any debt advice service.

People use different words to describe their experience of what it’s like to be in debt – despair, fear, suffocation, pressure, panic, whatever.

Being in debt is a horrible experience.

But CAP offers genuine hope to people from all walks of life, whatever the size of your debt and it doesn’t matter what you think or believe about God. Our advice is confidential and free and if you’d like find out more, or to book an appointment then call Anne Young on (Freephone) 0800 328 0006 You can also find out more about CAP UK by clicking here.
